Anna Vissi at MAD 2016 - She is the absolute!!

“I want to say something funny to begin with…I cannot get over it….from the moment I thought about it I have said “I want to say it”!! In the past, we used to say that it is not a nice thing in this business when people say that you are good person – that was one thing – and the other was to get an honorary award….I hope you understand what I mean…However, now that I am receiving mine I am becoming emotional, I am really happy, I am honoured and it is making me go many years back….When I was 15 years old, when I was at the beginning of my career, I do not think I cared about anything. My only worry was to sing and…to sing and to sing…No stress, nothing…40 years later – and not only 40, there is a little extra Foka – I think I still have the same feelings…It is not that I do not care but I just do what I do and take the next step forward. So, I have done a lot but I still want to do more!!”

And just like this Anna Vissi began to thank everyone yesterday at the Mad VMA 2016 following the award for contribution to Greek music from Fokas Euaggelinos. It is an award that she is truly worthy of, for all she has done…and for all that she will treat us to in the future!!

She thanked everyone who helped her to reach the point she is at today, her family, her other musical half: Nikos Karvelas, Panik records, Mad, Fokas Euaggelinos and of course her fannatics…It is a fanclub that always makes me happy!!!

She dedicated the award to her two grandchildren, Nestora & Nikos and she started to sing Sinentefksi even though she no longer likes interviews since “I have said everything there is to say”…

And here fannatics.gr does their own thing as for the first time a fanclub’s production is shown at the Mad Awards. A video-dedication with some of the greatest moments from Anna’s career is shown on the screen and remind of the great artist she is!! A video which binds Mala, and Rozana with Eroteumenaki, Nylon and Agapi Ipervoliki…..Because after all…it is Anna Vissi!!
