Anna Vissi at a concert in Nicosia singing....Only for Love!!
Loyal as always to her native Cyprus, Anna Vissi, with a new fresh look and full of emotion, completed yet another great concert on Tuesday 12th September in Nicosia. Upset that she was unable to attend her grandson’s, Nikos, birthday celebrations in America but happy that, with this concert, more money could be raised for Sophia’s Foundation for Children during the lengthy 3 hour concert. The concert was dedicated to her grandson as she said into the mic “from yiayia to Niko”. As she welcomed the audience she kicked of the night with the song “Mono i ayapi”, the song with which she represented Cyprus in the 1982 Eurovision Song Contest.
The moment in which she really surprised us is when Apostolos Gletzos appeared on stage to dance while Anna sang her hit “Ekatommiria”
The song “Sadismos” was not left out of the programme, a song that became a regular during her recent summer concerts.
Towards the end she sang “Happy Birthday” for young Nikos and dedicated the song “Dodeka to all her fans and as she said….she hears them…and reads their messages!!
