"On Friday 26th April whilst we were in Kariogo market in Nairobi, we seen an incredibly tragic sight...a girl paralysed from the waist down, literally crawling on the ground using her hands to move and beg at the same time, we immediantly called Anna. We described to her what we had seen with our own eyes in that moment! Anna immediately said to us 'take her without a second thought and I'll sponsor her'. After hours we finally found information that someone was taking her along with other children onto the street to beg for them. Thanks to the 'Sophia Foundation' Anna took Lucia off of the streets and now she will live her life protected and with dignity.
