Anna Vissi, Antonis Remos and the announcement of their collaboration!
With warm applause, the public of Larnaca welcomed Anna Vissi to the stage of the big charity concert of solidarity which took place last night, at Finikoudes. Anna appeared last and came onto the stage during the first notes of 'Dodeka' which Giannis Kifonidis played on the piano.
After the loud 's'agapo' of 'Dodeka', Anna welcomed the 30,000 spectators who had flocked to the venue: "The place that gave birth to me has taught me a lot, I carry it with me everywhere. It's scarred me, it has made me who I am. I love Cyprus, we love our homeland and we carry it with us wherever we go. What I learned is that together we can do it, for Larnaca, Cyprus and for our fellow man".
After 'Dodeka'. 'Giasemin' ("my mothers favourite song"), 'Tillirkotissa' and 'Ta Rialia', followed by 'Den Einai Psema', with the help of technology and Giannis Kifonidis on piano, which managed to stir up the public more than any other song.
For the end, Anna gave her own 'spontaneous' idea: "I came here amongst these wonderful artists to support one of my favourite people and I want to challenge him...Let's see if he responds to it!" and she continued by singing 'Dio Psemata' by Antonis Remos, who of course came on stage to announce for the first time his collaboration with Anna, for the coming winter! "This wasn't part of the programme! For so many years, everyone has been asking if we will be together at some point. For the first time we are here together with Anna. From now we will begin and continue to work together through the winter".
The news of the collaboration of the winter, which had already been discussed for days on fannatics, received applause from the warm crowd of Larnaca, which years before had also given Anna Vissi her first applause!
