“Ena i Kanena” – All About Yesterday's Opening Night! Listen To Anna’s New Songs!
Last night, on 20 December – Anna’s birthday, Pantheon Theatre first opened its doors for the public that had been queuing since late afternoon outside the new establishment on Pireaus street. “Ena i Kanena” (“One or None”) – a spectacular production of foreign standards – entranced the audience and was received with warm and enthusiastic applause. Sakis Rouvas, Katia Zigouli, Eleonora Meleti, Christina Politi and Stella Kalli were only some of the performers’ famous friends who were among the audience!
Anna Vissi and Antonis Remos present a show that is an all-rounded performance and a complete work by all means; spectacular in both the aural and visual dimension. A show that is completely different than anything we have ever experienced in Athens nightlife. The collaboration of the two great artists impressed, with everyone remarking about their sensational on-stage chemistry.
Yiannis Kakleas’ commanding direction, Manolis Pantlelidakis’ striking set designs, Apollonas Papatheocharis’ impressive costume designs and the 20 talented performers magically transform the stage from a quiet street to a busy harbour and many more scenes throughout the show, keeping the audience captivated for three hours. Anna and Antoni’s songs pave this musical journey and create a series of short and unique storylines.
Yesterday’s opening night was full of surprises! As promised in the press conference a few days earlier, we had the opportunity to listen to rarely-performed songs such as “Mia Agapi Fotia” and “Ime To Simera Ke Ise To Hthes”.
On the opening night we also heard two soon-to-be-released songs: Anna and Antonis’ duet, entitled “Ena i Kanena,” and Anna’s “Instagram.” You can find a live recording of the two songs here:
This is just the beginning!
See you all in Pantheon Theatre from Thursday until Sunday, for a spectacular show not-to-be missed by any fannatic!
