The biggest web portal on the greek showbiz, Yupi, devoted its time and inspiration for the " Shadows of Singers ", as Tassos Mastrogiannis (author) calls the greek Fan Clubs in his article. As expected, the article begins with the Official Fan Club devoted to the Absolute Greek Star.

Here are some quotations: Fan clubs have been present for some decades. During the last years though, their activities have expanded, especially those regarding the Internet. Even when the said singer is out to have fun in private, they are there waiting to see him/her - cameras and mobiles recording everything. The only actual difference with groopies is that fan club members are now closer and have direct communication -via the Internet- with their favourite singer and his collaborators, who provide them with exclusive news.

Anna Vissi's Fan Club is official and recognised by herself, her label and her collaborators. What is striking is that during video clip shootings her fans are there and watch her getting ready or doing rehearsals, while she asks them to stay in the place until shootings finish.
