Anna’s litigation against the TV productions company "Polyvideo", for the show "Me agapi... Anna!". After many trials that (due to her negligence as she says) have ended in 2 convictions and a considerable amount of debt to the company, the issue becomes a "scandal" after a sudden confiscation of several of her personal items of extreme value, while she is abroad on business. The media spend weeks talking about her personal issues and the question is "Why did Anna let this happen?". The answer comes shortly afterwards. Anna decides to deal with the matter seriously, changes lawyers and by the first months of 2008, all confiscated items are back in her possession, a compromise is reached and the case is closed! The court finally decides that Anna is innocent and that she has the right to claim her money back! Certainly a moral vindication for Anna after all the bad press...

THE BOMB: Anna and Nikos separate! This is neither about their relationship, nor about their marriage. They have already ended both of them. What surprises everybody is that they had a fight! According to rumors (officially not denied!) the couple everybody thought would stay forever together, breaks up! Their possessions are divided and the reasons for this quarrel remain unknown. Possessions? Nikos's new child? His new relationship? Anna's relationship? Professional disagreements? Too much is said, but too little is known for sure, except for the fact that this time, when Anna makes her comeback, Nikos will be completely absent, for the first time since the '70s!!!
After much efforts and waiting, the official fanclub, "Fannatics" opens its doors to all of you!!!! Expressing the fans' neverending love for Anna and vice versa, the fan club of the Godess gets a complete make over and becomes official. Always the first in news and rumors about Anna, the fan club manages to rise straight to the top, in the number of members, amongst the Greek and Cypriot fan sites, in only 6 months! Respect!

The sudden and shocking death of Anna’s beloved producer and collaborator, Greg Ladanyi, minutes before the start of her final concert in Nicosia, Cyprus (25/9), is the most tragic end for Anna’s sweetest tour. Anna’s friend and producer fell from a high point inside the GSP stadium and died a couple of days after the accident. Anna, his family and the whole team had a hard time, and they have all our sympathies. OUR Greg, the man who contributed to one of Anna’s best albums so far, who took care of her live performances and was preparing Anna’s next international step, was burried in the U.S. in October. R.I.P. Greg...
THE FABULOUS SHOW! The second part of the year lasts only for 2 months! 6/11, after a great deal of waiting, the biggest show in Athens begins! Exceptional visuals projected on huge screens, funny theatrical videos featuring Anna as the main characters, nice choreographies by Jermaine Brown and a team of guests that add quality and diversity to the show: famous Mario singing rebetiko with Anna, the band Ble and George Sabanis. Costumes are made by Patricia Field with the help of Anna’s daughter, Sofia Karvelas. Everything is directed and coordinated by Christine Crokos. The Fabulous show is here and Athens Arena, the biggest venue is full of fans and people curious to watch Anna’s show every day, while other venues in Athens stay half-empty... or worse! The show is praised by the media, even the most negative ones, and is the absolute talk of the town!

AGAPI EINAI ESY. On the 24th of October the new single of the Absolute Greek Star is released, giving a first taste of the long-waiting collaboration with Nikos Karvelas. This leading single spreads a variation of reaction on television, in the press, to the general audience and even in the absolute fan club! Others call it provocative and others outstanding. Others love it and think its exceptional and other just find it cheap. For once again, an unstoppable fan-fight begins and without any conclusions at the end of the day. Even the outstanding futuristic video clip by Christine Crokos didn't manage to control the never ending discussions surrounding Anna's comeback.

Anyone would have thought that after her experience of “With love…Anna!”, Anna Vissi would never again be seen on a set again. But we are proved wrong once again! Not only did she set foot on a set again but on the 12th October 2011, her new exclusive show entitled “Oso exo foni!” premiered on Greek TV.

So, what was this show, broadcast by Alpha channel, all about?

Anna and her close friend and colleague, Christine Crokos, who came up with the concept and recorded it, referred to it as a….Rockumentary! This is bit of a reality documentary focusing on a star’s daily life, both in front and behind the camera lens. The series was made up of 6 episodes which gave us a real glimpse into all aspects in the life of Greece’s Absolute Star. From her musical and personal history, her relationship with her daughter, her ordeal with her voice, how she released her first album without Nikos Karvelas following a 30 year partnership, how she puts on her shows, her famous friends but also her support for the “Sophia Foundation” and its work for children in Africa!

Another of Anna’s close friends and colleagues, Mirto Kontova, took on the journalistic role of the show’s montage giving the show a real authentic feel, accurately representing Anna’s daily life without it seeming tacky and having fake set-up interviews with Anna herself.

The show’s premiere was celebrated in style in a special Anna Vissi Party/Concert hosted by the Rithmos 949 radio station in Dream City (Athens). The Fannatics were of course present at this event and filled the club in order to watch the first episode with Anna before she proceeded to put on a special concert for them.

It was late at night, early morning of the 27th October when Anna went on stage to sing Everything, continuing her set list at “LAV” in the centre of Athens.

Everything was so perfect, a first night with lots of passion and full of appetite from our beloved singer when suddenly she disappeared beneath our eyes. A trapped door accidently opened and Anna fell from a height of more than 2 metres sending a deep shock through the audience and the fan club that was present there. Not wanting to relive those anxious moments that followed, we can thankfully say that Anna was very lucky on the way she fell and did not injur herself very seriously. The fact that she was not badly injured and thanks to her sheer stubbornness meant she was given her discharge note on the 2nd November to start her premiere show once again (even with a few bruised body parts) surrounded by the love and adoration of her fans on the 17th November!

The fannatics collected a “LAVbook” of wishes to wish the singer a speedy recovery and better luck in the future!!
“I would not like to recount what happened because the whole thing was very shocking for me and I do not want to remember it again. The only good thing from it was the show of support and love from all my already beloved people surrounding me”

2013
Almost 22 years had passed since the first staging of Demons and 11 years since Anna Vissi's last musical. And yet, the time had arrived again.

Demons was staged once again from the 22nd March at Pallas theatre with a new composition. Or should we actually say….a whole new composition. The original composer and script writer Nikos Karvelas, Anna Vissi as lead actress and a new actor, by the name of Panagiotis Petrakis, who was a child spectator the first time around in 1992, were entrusted to make the connection between the old and the new show.

The complete production by Elliniki Theamaton (libretto by Stavros Sidera, directed by Giannis Kakleas, stage design by Manolis Pantelidakis, lighting by Eleftheria Nteko and costumes by Ntenis Vaxlioti) enchanted audiences night after night until June 2013. Due to its success, it went back on stage that autumn before the curtains came down for the last time on the 23rd October 2013.

Tens of thousands of people from Greece, Cyprus and abroad along with more than 1,700 fannatics enjoyed (time and time again...) the characters of Rozana and Daniel but also the show's villains: Loa (was given a new lease of life by Evelina Papoulia) and Ieroksetasti (with the very talented newcomer Nikolao Karagiaouri).

Amongst audience members we saw the famous Game of Thrones director, Frank Doelger.

What we will remember from the show was its revamped orchestration, the dark mood given by Yiannis Kakleas, the leads' performances, the two fantastic new songs by Nikos Karvelas and the optical illusion of a suspended Anna that made our heart skip a beat every time!

For those that missed out, the full show was released on CD/DVD combo firstl in Greece, in November 2013, and then in Cyprus, before being uploading directly onto youtube!

So, what did Anna have to say about Demons:
“The 2013 production of Demons is more mature. I feel that, as an actress, I can play the role better this time around. Regarding my voice, yes I admit that 22 years ago it was much clearer but now it is my soul that is clearer. I am able to give more substance to my role as I have grown as a person.”

On the 14th April, and despite not being present, Anna played her part in Athens’s 10th Gay Pride event which took place in the city centre. Her video message appeared on big screens during concerts that took place throughout the day. In her message, Anna said: “For me, one of the most important things in life is for someone to be unique, different and to support their life choices.”

On the 31st May, Anna appeared, along with hundreds of other people, in the “1st Gay Pride of Cyprus” taking place in Nicosia supporting equal rights for all, regardless of their sexual orientation.

Her complete support for such events as the gay pride were reiterated in her interview on the 8th June for Cyprus’s Down Town magazine, entitled “Don't be afraid of something different”.

Well, what we were expecting in 2014...never happened.

Anna's hotly anticipated new album with Nikos Karvelas kept being announced but was always postponed. In the process, other Cds were multiplying (new CD with remixes, Live CD/DVD of the 'Ena i kanena' show and the soundtrack to her rock-opera) while we saw no new releases.

Our patience was running thin as announcements from Anna's recording company kept changing and new dates being thrown around.

In the end, even Anna made a joke about it during her New Year's wish to her fans for 2015 promising a new album very soon!

Her explanation? Well, it was the new rock-opera that she preparing with Nikos Karvelas for 2015 entitled “The Bells of Eidelweiss”. Let's just say it was worth the wait!
