Do you think you know everything there is to know about Anna Vissi?

2008
THE BOMB: Anna and Nikos separate! This is neither about their relationship, nor about their marriage. They have already ended both of them. What surprises everybody is that they had a fight! According to rumors (officially not denied!) the couple everybody thought would stay forever together, breaks up! Their possessions are divided and the reasons for this quarrel remain unknown. Possessions? Nikos's new child? His new relationship? Anna's relationship? Professional disagreements? Too much is said, but too little is known for sure, except for the fact that this time, when Anna makes her comeback, Nikos will be completely absent, for the first time since the '70s!!!
After much efforts and waiting, the official fanclub, "Fannatics" opens its doors to all of you!!!! Expressing the fans' neverending love for Anna and vice versa, the fan club of the Godess gets a complete make over and becomes official. Always the first in news and rumors about Anna, the fan club manages to rise straight to the top, in the number of members, amongst the Greek and Cypriot fan sites, in only 6 months! Respect!

Surely a masterpiece, non comparable to other Greek albums, Apagorevmeno is characterised by the plethora of famous composers, lyricists and producers who cooperated for the result, the stunning melodies and orchestrations, the exceptional lyrics by Eleana Vrachali and Myrto Kontova and three other names engaged in the production: the million-selling composer Patrick Leonard, the Grammy awarded producer Greg Ladanyi and the hits-creator Glenn Ballard! 27/10/2008 Kensington Palace, London, with Patrick Leonard ("Life Action Trust" charity event)
"We got along well from the very first moment, because we're similar. We're not divas. During our discussion he said he was going to give a concert in Cyprus and I told him that since I did not manage to go see him in Greece, I would go see him in my birthplace. Then he proposed to me: "It would be an honour for me if we would sing together. How would you like learning the words of 1973?". I liked this song because it was symbolic. That was the year I left Cyprus, full of dreams and hope for a career, and now I was going back to sing that song with him. It was an honour for me to sing with him too. The previous night I was sitting with a CD player stuck on my ears trying to learn the words and the music. We only did one rehearsal with a guitar. the only thing he told me before going on stage was "Don't pay any attention to whatever I do while we sing. just face me.". It was a wonderful moment. Magical. That night before going to sleep, he sent me a sweet message, saying "Thanks a lot, I had a great time with you on stage" Down Town mag, 7/08
"Apagorevmeno was not in the list of songs to be included in the album. The album was almost done and Patrick Leonard was still in Athens, when I remembered that we had a song I liked, but it was written in English. I played it to Eleana Vrachali one day and asked her whether it could inspire her to write lyrics in Greek. The next day she had it done. We listened to it at around midnight in the studio, I turned off the lights and sang it only once. I saw Patrick (he doesn’t know any Greek) and he was touched. That's when I understood how powerful this song is. That's why I made it my first single. Because I didn't want to start off the album with something resembling the "old Vissi", something that was expected of me or a typical radio hit.", DownTown mag, 18/12/2008
Anna could sit for hours after her concerts signing autographs! Niki Vissi
"I liked Anna from the moment we said "hello". We understood each other immediately, we laughed a lot, we had chemistry. Then we started singing and I realised that Anna wants in her music the same thing I want: she wants it to be good. She just wants to listen to and sing wonderful music, nothing else. That’s the kind of people I want to work with. (...) (From her career in the past...) I consider Mala to be a masterpiece. I also liked "Paralio", "Eleni" and "Antidoto". Actually I told Anna to sing it at our joint concert in Kensington Palace.", Patrick Leonard, Down Town Cyprus, 9/11/2008
Endless comments! About her professional (and personal?) divorce from Karvelas, about the end of her litigation and mainly about her comeback and new collaborations! Rumors circulate regarding collaborations with pretty much every single person in greek showbiz, but what we know for sure is that lyricists Eleana Vrachali and Mirto Kontova, as well as... Madonna's Pat Leonard (Frozen, Like a prayer) will participate! At least that's what Anna says!
