Anna has to hide her real age (12), in order to participate in a talent contest along with her sister Lia. They manage to WIN the contest, which was organised by CyBC, the Cypriot broadcaster, singing "Anthismenes vissinies" (composed by George Katsaros and first sung by Marinella) and "O ouranos fevgi varis" (Stavros Kougioumtzis – George Dalaras).

"What I remember from my childhood is that since I was 12, I liked singing in public. I went to a school for girls in Larnaca and was a very good student. I participated in all school events, musical or theatrical ones. I liked playing various childish games, like hopscotch. I started my high school studies in Larnaca and stayed there until the 4th grade. Then we moved to Athens where I finished my studies at the 6th High School of Kipseli, achieving an overall grade of 17 out of 20." Manina magazine, 1977
